What Our Members Say About Us

"I loved having a place to go where my kids never felt like a burden. Even with meltdowns or quirky behaviors - my kids and all the kids were able to explore, play and learn how to be friends with their peers."

- Jenya B. (Shorenorth Alumna, member for 9 years)

"I love the culture that makes up Shorenorth Co-Op Preschool. The board practices a consensus-based decision-making approach wherein they work together to find a mutually acceptable solution. Everyone's voice is seen and respected; and it trickles down to every attending family."

- Julia V.

"I love the structure of co-op preschool because I get to learn new parenting strategies from the teachers and other parents by watching them in class and through parent education."

- Shira H.

"We love the collaborative parenting opportunity of co-op preschool. We can learn from others' experiences in real time. Spending time with kids from varied backgrounds helps our son grow and learn from ALL the people around him."

- Ben L.

"I really appreciate that the play based curriculum is age appropriate and that Teacher Erin listens to each parent so attentively about their child's evolving needs. The rotating theme in the Imagination Room is my favorite, it helps me offer my child a space for pretend play that I cannot replicate at home."

- Olivia L.

Sponsored by Shoreline Community College

Shorenorth is affiliated with and sponsored by Shoreline Community College (SCC).  By enrolling your child at Shorenorth, you automatically become an SCC student.  You earn college credit through the Parenting Education Program and your instructors are SCC faculty.  You and your child attend class off-campus at our beautiful, child-friendly, stimulating preschool – yet you may enjoy all the rights and privileges which accompany student status on campus, like access to the gym, library and other resources. Each class at Shorenorth is recognized by Shoreline Community College (SCC) as a separate parent education class. The Shorenorth organization consists of all enrolled class members and operates economically independent from SCC.
